Amnesty Protocol

Northwestern encourages students and students groups to ensure the well-being of others by taking responsible steps to seek assistance for individuals who are intoxicated/impaired (including themselves). The Amnesty through Responsible Action protocol offers Amnesty to students who call (or for whom another student called) for medical assistance due to alcohol consumption or other drug use.

Medical Leave of Absence

The purpose of a medical leave of absence (MLOA) is to provide students time away from campus for treatment of a physical or mental health condition that impairs a student’s ability to function safely and successfully as a member of our community.
