Dittmar Gallery

Dittmar is located on the ground floor of Norris Center. This student-run gallery space features 5-6 exhibitions per year.

Dittmar Memorial Gallery was named in recognition of the gift by the late Paul O. Dittmar. The mission of the Gallery is to assist with developing and supporting emerging artists. For 50 years Dittmar Gallery has promoted the careers of young artists on campus and artist across the nation. Dittmar Gallery also supports the mission of Norris Center providing cultural inclusion with art representing the diversity of the community.

All Dittmar Events are free. Catered refreshments are provided at all art receptions and RSVPs are not required.

When Homeward You Turn

When Homeward You Turn is a meditation on how we are shaped by our complicated relationships to the abstraction of home.  In this exhibit, members of our community will grapple with their own personal definitions of home and what it means to experience home as an ever-evolving concept.  Through a plethora of mediums, each artist is invited to unravel the intricacies of their own stories and what home has meant to them both throughout their life and now.  For after all, who are we if not a constellation of the people, places, and things that we call home?
